What is Barbie x Boss Beauties NFT Drop
This year, Barbie aims to celebrate the International Day of the Girl in a big way. Together with Boss Beauties, the brand is launching a 15,000 NFT collection on the official Mattel Creations website.
Accordingly, the collectibles pay homage to the 250 professions Barbie dolls have held since the first products were released in 1959. From chefs to astronauts to soccer players, this release was created with one clear goal in mind: to show girls of all the world they know can be anything.
In addition to the launch itself, the two brands will donate $125,000 to the Barbie Dream Gap Project, which provides resources to educate and support girls. Another $125K will go to the Boss Beauties Foundation to provide scholarships and mentorships for young women.
“In celebration of InternationalDayOfTheGirl, we are partnering with
Boss Beauties on a new NFT collection & will jointly donate $250,000 to the Barbie Dream Gap Project & Boss Beauties Foundation to provide skills development, leadership opportunities & more to girls globally,” Barbie said in a tweet.
