Thailand Boosts Tourism with NFTs
Thailand, a country well-known for tourist visits and cultural landmarks, has launched ‘Amazing Thailand NFT,’ a non-fungible token (NFT) experience for visitors to the country. The NFT, which was created by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), will encourage people to visit major cultural sites in the Southeast Asian country.
Web 3 has played a significant role in uniting countries and bringing people together, and as a result, web 3 has revealed its significant role in the tourism industry. Tourism has proven to be a significant source of revenue for many countries, and Thailand has not been left behind; diving into NFT is clear evidence that the country is gradually accepting web 3.0.
What Is Amazing Thailand NFT?
The Amazing Thailand NFT items combine the real world and the Blockchain world, with the artwork integrated into the tourist destination, and are designed with the key message of ‘Travel to Earn, Earn your experiences.
Participants in the NFT collection must be willing to travel to the five locations, which include China Town, Siam Square, the Ancient City in Samut Prakan, Wat Arun, and the Giant Swing.
Among the most appealing benefits are a flight and hotel discount offer, a massage voucher, a room upgrade at Cassia (Phuket), a free F & B credit coupon (Banyan Tree Group), a Hungry Hub voucher for hungry tummies, and more. Each location has 3,999 NFTs, and participants have until December 14th to collect them.
How to participate in NFT collection
To participate in the NFT collection, download the YAKS app for Android or iOS and scan the QR code located at each location to collect NFTs. There are also NFTs to be unlocked at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, said, “This Amazing Thailand NFTs campaign incorporates our NFT products – Nature to preserve, Food to explore, and Thainess to discover – into actual trips and offers new experiences in line with the ‘Visit Thailand Year 2022-2023: Amazing New Chapters’ campaign.” The initiative is also part of the effort to create a “new tourism ecosystem” in order to make the industry more sustainable.”
